Kessler showed me this Minnie Mouse and I said, “Oh, I like your chef!” And she corrected me and said, “No mommy, SOUS chef.”

She gets this from when she cooks with daddy who is the “chef” and I call her the “sous chef.”  

Holland loves to look at the pictures, and if I say a word, she will point to the right picture. I will sit down, then she will go get this book and plop on my lap to read it. 🙂

Eric and I decided to go on a fancy date night on Wednesday. We had a few things we wanted to celebrate “work wise.” Eric got a contract in with a client he was looking forward to, and I was in the final stages of an interview process for a new job (that I ended up getting the verbal offer for on Thursday, to which I accepted on Friday!).

We went to Ocean Prime as they have our favorite strip steak.

We had the most delicious Cabernet from Robert Mondavi’s reserve collection.

Our neighborhood has a monthly activity for kids called Viridian Explorers. I’ve always had a conflict, but today I’m glad we went because they got to decorate flower pots and plant flowers! It was a fun and cute activity 🙂

I got to have breakfast with this thang this AM. Great start to my day!
